    I just graduated. How can I get information about my diploma?

    The registrar mails diplomas to all May graduates in mid-August and to all January graduates in mid-March. International students should allow four to six weeks for delivery. Your diploma is confirmation that your degree has been conferred, and you will not receive any other notification. If you have not received your diploma or a notification letter from the registrar by August 31 (for May graduates) or March 31 (for January graduates), contact the Office of the Registrar at reghelp@newschool.edu or 212.229.5620.

    How can I get a copy of my transcript?

    Follow the instructions on the Registrar's Office transcript page.

    I need descriptions of the courses I took at The New School.

    Send an email request to reghelp@newschool.edu. The registrar will provide a maximum of ten course descriptions per request. Please allow seven working days for your request to be processed. To Inquire about the status of your request, email reghelp@newschool.edu or call 212.229.5620.

    What happens to my New School email after I graduate?

    As of May 2014, graduating students will be able to retain in perpetuity the New School email address they use as students. Email addresses will remain in the format of netid@newschool.edu. To retain the address, alumni must log in to their email account at least once every six months. In addition, New School Google Apps will remain available for alumni. Alumni will also continue to have access to the New School wireless network.

    Alumni who graduated before spring 2014 can request an alumni email account online.

    I graduated before 2011. Can I get a new alumni email account?

    Yes. If you graduated prior to 2011, you can request the creation of an alumni email account by completing the online form.

    How do I reset my Google Apps alumni email password?

    Visit my.newschool.edu and click the link "Look Up Your Net ID or Reset Your Password." You will need your New School ID number to do so. If you no longer remember your ID number, call Alumni Relations at 212.229.5662 x3784.

    Can alumni use the wireless access on campus?

    Alumni have free wireless access everywhere on the New School campus. Log on to the network "newschool-alumni" using your Net ID as your username and your MyNewSchool password as your password.

    I recently graduated. When can I request my Alumni Card?

    You can request your card as soon as your degree has been conferred by the registrar (that is, as soon as you receive your diploma). You can request an Alumni Card online. Please email alumni@newschool.edu with any questions.
