Theater, film, and television demand creatively inspired and technically skilled performers to bring their stories to life. The School of Drama’s three-year MFA program in acting offers intensive, collaborative training and a wide range of project-based learning experiences to students who wish to enter the profession as unique, adaptive, and highly valued artists.
Drama’s faculty of top working professionals bring rigor and currency of practice to the classroom, providing a training regimen that is practical, relevant, and artistically inspiring. Students engage with contemporary, new, and classical material across a three-year trajectory, building their capacity for excellence.
Working in multidisciplinary ensembles, actors are extensively involved in the development of new plays and theatrical works. The program offers them opportunities to synthesize and apply acting, voice and speech, and movement techniques through presentation, performance, and production, both onstage and on camera.
