Mannes produces institutes each summer that focus on a variety of topics and feature world-renowned faculty and performers. Each institute has a different format, employing master classes, performances, lectures, ensembles, and coursework.
Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival is an intensive summer institute that features concerts, master classes, ensemble instruction, and career-building workshops. Now in its second season, the festival is hosted by Imani Winds, a Grammy-nominated wind quintet known for its innovative music and educational outreach. For ten days, musicians are mentored and immersed in all aspects of chamber music, honing skills in artistry, communication, and performance.
Founded by Metropolitan Opera assistant conductor Joan Dornemann and Metropolitan Opera conductor Paul Nadler in 1986, the
International Vocal Arts Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding and training the most talented young opera singers around the world. IVAI's diverse activities have included worldwide intensive training programs in Israel, the continental United States, Mexico, France, Puerto Rico, Canada, Japan, and China.
The New York Guitar Seminar is a gathering of students, faculty, and guest artists interested in immersing themselves in classical guitar. Seminar activities include master classes, improvisation, composition, arranging classes, pedagogy forums, career development workshops, and performances.

OSO will be in residence at Mannes during rehearsals for Marcos Portugal’s The
