Be sure to check out our Financial Aid and Scholarships page; on average, master's students receive merit scholarships totaling 40 percent of the cost of tuition.
Contact the Admission Office to arrange a visit or to ask about the application process, courses, faculty, and extracurricular programs. You can also ask to speak with a current student enrolled in your area of interest.
Spring Term: The application for spring 2019 will open sometime in September. The priority deadline for spring 2019 term entry is October 15. Applications completed after October 15 will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Fall Term: The application for fall 2019 will open sometime in September. The priority deadline for fall 2019 is January 7. Applicants who wish to be considered for full funding must complete their applications by January 7.
Applications completed after January 7 will be considered for admission and partial scholarships on a rolling basis.
The online application for fall 2018 term entry is currently open.
The PhD application for fall 2018 term entry is closed.

Visiting Admission The Welcome Center is your first stop for all in-person admission services, including individual admission advising, campus tours, and information sessions. The Welcome Center is located at 72 Fifth Avenue, on
the corner of 13th Street.
If you would like to meet for individual admission advising, please contact the Graduate Admission Office to schedule an appointment at 212.229.5150
or GradAdmission@newschool.edu. Admission staff are available from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
For the spring 2018 semester, we will have walk-in hours at the Welcome Center from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We also offer Graduate Program Campus Tours, which are held at 2:00 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays and 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays
when the university is open. You are encouraged to make an individual appointment or attend one of our upcoming information sessions.
