MA Concentration in Substance Abuse Counseling

  • The BASICS Program is a collaboration between The New School’s Student Health Services and the CMHSAC.  The BASICS Program provides free and confidential services for students at The New School who may be concerned about their drug and alcohol use.  The BASICS Program team is supervised by Dr. Jenifer Talley and is an evidence-based protocol to address substance use among college students (Dimeff, Baer, Kivlahan, and Marlatt, 1999).  The program offers non-judgmental, objective information and resources to help students reduce the risks associated with alcohol and drug use.  For more information about the BASICS Program, please contact or call 347.927.0420.
