Carter Hodgkin combines 2 careers as an artist and interactive designer. As a designer, her experience includes strong technical skills using the Adobe Creative Suite along with coding. She has 20 years' experience in Print and Web Design; Information Architecture; Online Promotions and Flash Development. She has designed sites designed online promotions and games for clients such as Martha Stewart Omnimedia, LEGO, Scholastic, ATandT;, Dow Jones, Kodak, Rodale Press, NBC, Universal Studios and Warner Brothers.As an artist Hodgkin delves into the world of physics, blurring boundaries between animation, digital media, drawing and painting. Hodgkin has exhibited throughout the U.S., Japan, Europe and India. Awards include the Gottlieb Foundation (2012, 2005), New York Foundation for the Arts (2009, 2002, 1989), and the Pollock Krasner Foundation (2002). She has completed public art commissions for Capital One (2017), Neiman Marcus (2015 and Queens College, NY (2010). Her public art project "Electromagnetic Fall" was cited by Americans for the Arts as one of the best public art projects for 2010. Her work is included in Art+Science Now, a survey of artists working at the frontiers of science and technology by Thames and Hudson. Her work is included public and private collections.
