Assistant Professor of Fashion
Mariana Vidal-Escabi is a designer and artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Passionate about the creative process, her work focuses on the search for new perspectives by de-contextualizing and re-contextualizing visual languages in order to create new narratives. Her work experience has expanded from fashion print textile design to concept and color design, trend forecasting, advanced development and art direction working with renowned designers Zero+Maria Cornejo and Diane von Furstenberg and brands like Banana Republic, Comptoir Des Cotonniers and Coach. She has been an instructor at the School of Fashion at Academy of Art University Online School and a visiting critique juror at Pratt Institute, Rhode Island School of Design, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and the product design and fashion design programs at Parsons. She is the founder of awindow, a NYC based Creative Studio and Traveling Concept Gallery.
