• Profile:

    Molly Herman was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Molly studied art and archeology in France and Spain. She returned to continue her studies in New York and received her Masters in Fine Art from the School of Visual Art in Manhattan. Additionally, Molly has been employed as an artist assistant to Pat Steir, printmaker for Harlan and Weaver Intaglio and an Assistant Curator at Henry Street Settlement, Abrons Art Center. Molly has taught at Parsons /New School in various courses including Painting I, II, Drawing I, Basic Core, Pre-College and Color Theory since 2000. She currently lives and keeps an active studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with her husband, the sculptor, Bruce Brosnan. Molly Herman is a member of The Painting Center and is represented by Amy Simon Fine Art. Molly's recent exhibition, "Cadences" at Equity Gallery, (est.1947 by former WPA artists) is on view through Dec.17, 2018.
