Parsons' Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees are intensive programs designed for students who have some college experience and want to launch a new career in design or fashion. Our students enter the school with a variety of backgrounds — experienced
attorneys, teachers, musicians, sales associates, chefs. They graduate from Parsons as merchandisers, fashion designers, graphic artists, and interior designers versed in the vocabulary, practices, and technology of their new fields.

Students can complete their degree in two to four semesters of full-time study, depending on the number of transfer credits they bring to their program. The program also allows for part-time study, with classes held in the evening, and many electives and liberal arts courses are
Challenging, rigorous coursework defines Parsons' AAS programs. Courses and sequences are intense and immersive, and we encourage students to round out their training with internships at one of the many design-driven companies based in New York City.
