New School President Dwight A. McBride

NEW YORK, November 20, 2020 -- Consolidated Edison, Inc., one of the nation's largest investor-owned energy-delivery companies, has named New School President Dwight A. McBride to its Board of Directors. President McBride will formally join the Con Edison Board on January 1, 2021.
With nearly three decades in higher education, President McBride is an experienced leader and accomplished educator and author. He brings this experience to bear as he leads The New School to advance its strength as the only university in the world with a large and comprehensive design school alongside renowned programs in the social sciences, humanities, and performing arts.
Founded in 1823 as the New York Gas Light company, Con Edison provides electric, gas, and steam service for the 10 million people who live in New York City and Westchester County.
